The Mirror Within
This series of oil paintings explores the subtle, often unspoken dialogue between the feminine and masculine principles that dwell within us all. Inspired by Carl Gustav Jung’s concepts of Anima and Animus, The Mirror Within is a psychological and emotional unfolding.
In Jungian psychology, the Anima represents the inner feminine in a man – intuitive, emotional, and deeply connected to the unconscious. The Animus, its counterpart, symbolizes the inner masculine in a woman – rational, structured, and assertive. These are archetypal energies, each essential to the process of inner integration. Only by encountering and confronting these inner figures can one begin the journey toward wholeness.
Each painting in this series reflects a different moment in that journey. They are not depictions of individuals, but of states of soul, emotional thresholds between becoming and being.
The process behind these works is slow and deliberate. I return to the same face again and again, trying to capture not just its form but the emotion beneath a glance, the memory behind a hand’s stillness.
The Mirror Within is an ongoing exploration of intimacy, projection, duality, and ultimately, of the deep mirror that exists within us all.

Anima Before the Answer
She stands still, because something within her listens. Her gaze reaches beyond the window, beyond the world, toward a truth she cannot yet name.
The light touches her face, but she carries her own light, dimmed and steady. There is no urgency in her body, only the quiet weight of clarity forming itself.
What she waits for may never come in the form she imagines, but she is already shaped by the act of waiting.
She becomes the question itself, shaped slowly by the silence before the answer.

Anima & Animus
Their eyes remain closed, yet they see everything that matters. They inhabit the same space, the same silence, the same inner home. Her face rests in trust, his arms speak of quiet strength.
The lines of their bodies echo years of longing, and the tenderness in their hands tells of what was once fragmented and now feels whole.
This embrace carries memory, forgiveness, and recognition.
In this painting, time gathers into a living moment that asks for nothing more.

Little Anima
Doesn’t know who she is yet.
She rests quietly, cheek against a warm hand, listening to the world without understanding it.
Her eyes simply see,
and what they see, she keeps inside like a secret.
She does not know the word for longing, but she carries it.
In her gaze, there is a solitude that doesn’t hurt yet.
It only flows slowly, like an unknown river beneath the skin of time.
Perhaps she asks nothing,
but her whole being is a question.
